〈pomodomo りんご紹介〉紅玉
自然交雑で誕生した品種の「紅玉」。アメリカ原産で日本には明治4年に開拓使により導入されました。240ｇ程度の小ぶりなサイズとこい赤色が特徴的なこの品種は、「果肉の緻密さ」や「甘酸っぱさ」が特徴です。
また、「この品種に勝るものがない」と言われるほど調理用、加工用としての高い需要があることで有名です！

The variety “Kogyoku” (Jonathan), which originated through natural crossbreeding, is native to the United States and was introduced to Japan by the Kaitakushi (Hokkaido Development Commission) in 1871. Known for its small size, weighing around 240g, and its deep red color, this apple boasts a “dense flesh” and a “sweet-tart flavor.” It is also famous for being highly sought after as a cooking and processing apple, with many saying, “There is no better variety for this purpose.”
